A half-brother to G3 Gimcrack Stakes winner Chantski topped the Yarradale Stud yearlings sale on Sunday when knocked down for $57,500.
Rain and strong wind gusts didn’t deter buyers from attending the seventh annual on-site sale at Gidgegannup. Of the 39 lots to parade, 24 were sold at an average of $27,645 and another 13 yearlings were leased.
Aquanita trainer Simon Miller bought the Scandal Keeper – Endesa colt (Lot 15) that topped the leader-board. Besides Chantski (War Chant), he is also a half-brother to Perth winner Nediyms Ruler (General Nediym).
A Scandal Keeper - Stormy Maddie filly (Lot 17) was next best at $40,000. She was purchased by Roy Rogers and is a half-sister to Chillie Storm who made it two in a row at Belmont on Saturday.
