Ladies Of London and Call Again signed off 2020 with a winning double for War Chant (USA) and Yarradale Stud’s long-standing client Tony Patrizi at Bunbury on December 30.

Ladies Of London won the TABtouch - Better Your Bet Plate (1116m) to boost the value of her Patronize half-brother catalogued as Lot 187 by Yarradale (as agent) for the 2021 Perth Magic Millions.

Patrizi had purchased Ladies Of London for $80,000 at the 2017 Perth Magic Millions.  Her dam Movie Queen (Bletchley Park) had also foaled Ascot 2yo winner Miss Ellmya (Alfred Nobel).

In a sad postscript to the south-west result, Movie Queen was put down on January 2.

The Rhys Radford-trained Call Again was a convincing winner of the Amelia Park Hcp (1705m) at Bunbury.  Patrizi sold him for $70,000 through Misty Valley Thoroughbreds at the 2018 Perth Magic Millions.

Call Again is one of a half-dozen winners from Lip Service (Marooned) topped by Express Service (LR Challenge Stakes).  The mare foaled a War Chant colt in August and was bred back to Long Leaf at Rangeview Stud.

Patrizi has entered 9 yearlings under the Misty Valley banner for the 2021 Perth Magic Millions.  First in the ring is Lot 5, the Magnus colt from NZ Group 1 winner Juice (Bertolini).  Last to parade is Lot 263, the filly by Yarradale sire Bradbury’s Luck related to recent Ascot winner La Farola.

War Chant (Danzig) had sired a city double earlier in December with Witchfulthinking (Sandown-Hillside) and Leica Jaguar (Ascot).  He has 5 yearlings from Yarradale among an overall draft of 12 to the Perth Magic Millions in February.
