Hit The Jackpot has hit his straps with two wins from two starts this prep for trainer Ryan Hill and owner-breeders Mick Wilson and Vern Brockman.

The Gingerbread Man sprinter was given time to mature and that’s starting to pay dividends with a running double in Albany.  Sent out an odds-on favourite for the T&R Muesli Hcp (1000m) on Saturday, he went barrier-to-box to prevail over the persistent runner-up Elsa's Pride (Outreach).

“It was well-deserved win for owner-breeder Mick (Wilson) and his namesake ‘Mick’ today,” Hill posted on Facebook.  “He led from go-to-whoa for an easy victory first-up and it was a well-rated ride by Chanel (Cooper) to find the front comfortably for another dominant victory down in Albany.”

Wilson bred Hit The Jackpot in partnership with Brockman and Yarradale Stud using resident sire Gingerbread Man over Wings Of Hope (War Chant).  The mare subsequently changed hands and her yearling son by Sessions (Lot 159) is being offered by Taunton Vale’s Nina Johnston at the Perth Magic Millions next month.

Gingerbread Man (Shamardal) has four colts among Yarradale Stud’s draft of 16 entrants to the Perth Magic Millions in February starting with the colt from First Game (Soldier's Tale).  Catalogued as Lot 218, he’s a full-brother to Neurological and Fluro Neuro which will attract prospective buyers in the first hour of trade on Day 2 in the Swan Valley.

Neurological is one of 7 individual black-type winners by Gingerbread Man.  The pocket-rocket won regional features at Geraldton (Batavia Sprint) and Albany (Fitzpatrick Plate) in January 2019 before coming to town to claim that year’s LR Farnley Stakes (1400m) at Belmont.  His career was cut short with a strike-rate of 9 wins in his first 20 starts for owner-trainer Martin Allan.

Fluro Neuro has earned $235,000 for Belhus Racing after Yarradale sent him through the sale-ring for $75,000 at the 2021 Perth Magic Millions.  Belhus Racing is riding a winning wave and it can keep cresting when Fluro Neuro tackles the Quayclean Hcp (1400m) second-up at Ascot this Saturday.
