Yarradale Stud signed off Saturday’s Bunbury meeting with winning graduate Little Silver (Exosphere) and the Gidgegannup nursery hit the ground running with an early interstate treble on Wednesday.

In little more than an hour, its Pinjarra winners Swift Streaker (Patronize) and Bundaberg (Gingerbread Man) saluted on either side of Murray Bridge winner Break The Taboo (War Chant).

Now rising five, Break The Taboo broke through at just her fourth start in the Thomas Farms Maiden Plate (1400m) for Adelaide trainer Travis Doudle and WA-based Distinct Racing & Breeding owner Geoff Evans.

“She got further back than planned last start but found the line well and we expected a more forward showing today over the 1400m,” Doudle said.  “She landed on the fence early and travelled sweetly before Jacob (Opperman) eased her out at the right moment.

“She powered away for a strong win and is showing good improvement at every run this prep.”

Evans bred Break The Taboo using former Yarradale stallion War Chant (USA) over unraced Viscount mare Taboo To Love.  That cross has an 83% winning strike-rate headed by War Room (LR Sir Ernest Lee-Steere Classic).

Yarradale-bred graduate Swift Streaker kicked off the local double when stepping up to 1600m for the first time in the Chaff City Maiden at Pinjarra.  He’s a son of Darling View’s retired sire Patronize (Redoute's Choice) who has also provided the Yarradale-bred winners Pull The Trigger and The Great Hoya this season.

“That was a dominant all the way victory over the mile,” part-owner and trainer Ryan Hill said.  “He showed plenty of promise early in his career and put the pieces together today under the vigour of Lucky Ramoly.”

Swift Streaker’s dam Streak Away (O’Reilly) is now three from three at stud following Dashing Erika (Smart Missile) and Lucky's Way (Bradbury’s Luck).  Her 2yo is an unraced Playing God colt named Streak Of God and her yearling is a colt by Gingerbread Man.

It’s a pedigree going back several generations at Yarradale.  Second-dam Brava Fortune (Falbrav) won the 2008 G2 Karrakatta Plate (1200m) in Yarradale’s green and gold livery as did third-dam Fortune Streak (Pricelessly) in the 2001 LR Burgess Queen Stakes (1400m).

Bundaberg claimed the penultimate juvenile race of the season in WA when he was a front-running winner of the Alcoa Maiden (1200m) on Wednesday.

The Gingerbread Man youngster is the second 2yo winner for his sire in 2024-25 following Greenfields Lodge homebred Perfect Sister at Ascot in April.  He was bred and sold by Bellbridge Park for $42,500 at the 2024 Perth Magic Millions and won’t be long recuperating that amount and more in the new season for Impressive Racing.

Yarradale will stand Gingerbread Man (Shamardal) for a $5,500 service fee (inc GST) this year. For bookings or further information, contact stud manager Davy Hanratty on 0429 326 904.
