Gingerbread Man youngster Spice Is Right led from the jump and lifted in the straight when tackled by Tactics (Rommel) to win the Amelia Park Hcp (1400m) at Ascot on Anzac Day.

Sparingly-raced 4yo mare Enchanting Sound has given Yarradale Stud sire Gingerbread Man a second Saturday win in a row at Ascot.

The more they win the better the price is a saying as old as racing itself and it fitted Star Power to a tee when she was gunning for hat-trick at Ascot last Wednesday.

It is with great sadness that Yarradale Stud said goodbye to War Chant (USA) on Thursday.  The 27-year-old stallion succumbed to the infirmities of old age at the Gidgegannup nursery that he had called home for over a decade.

War Chant (USA) warhorse Mood Swings took a while to win at black-type level but it was worth the wait for trainer George Dupre and owner Barry Evans.
