Fresh from a Group 2 triumph with Valour Road (Frost Giant) in the Lee-Steere Stakes (1400m) last Saturday, Yarradale Stud returned with a running double at Ascot on Wednesday courtesy of City Angel and Ima Single Gal.

Yarradale Stud has sent hundreds of future winners down the Darling Scarp to Ascot’s racing precinct but none quite like Saturday’s G2 Lee-Steere Stakes (1400m) hero Valour Road.

Ima Single Gal put her best foot forward with a front-running victory for Yarradale Stud’s Lyn Sayers and Gangemi Racing at Ascot on Wednesday.

Rapidly improving mare Malkar Pindari notched a milestone 300th win for Yarradale Stud sire Gingerbread Man in the Amelia Park Hcp (1500m) at Ascot on Saturday.

Racing returned to Bunbury after a two-year redevelopment on Thursday and the new track was used to advantage by locally-bred gallopers in the five maiden events at the historic meeting.
