Sunspeed bred gelding Go Baby Go (Aus) will target the G1 HKJC International Sprint after a last-start victory at Sha Tin.

Go Baby Go (6g Medal Of Honor - Miss Whirl by Pricelessly) proved he will be a major factor in the big sprints after making light work of a quality field in the G3 Sha Tin Sprint Trophy on October 2.

A son of former Yarradale Stud stallion Medal Of Honor, he has matured from an under-developed gelding with a nervous disposition into a six-year-old striking enough to be judged best turned out from the pre-race parade.

Jockey Tye Angland pointed to the sprinter's physical development as a major reason for his leap into the top bracket this term.  "He has definitely come back a bigger, stronger horse,” Angland confirmed.  “He is much more relaxed and I think he’s ready to take the next step."

That next step is likely to be in the G2 Jockey Club Sprint on November 17 before the G1 Hong Kong International Sprint on December 8.

Go Baby Go was bred by Millendon-based Bill Fell before heading off-shore.  His dam Miss Whirl has a 3yo filly and a yearling colt by Nui Mara Farm sire Cape North.

Medal Of Honor (Danehill) has sired 42 winners of 128 races from his days at Yarradale.  He is now based with Bullsbrook couple Dave Casey and Meryl Hayley for a $2,200 (inc gst) service fee.
