Yarradale Stud-bred graduate Fluro Neuro continued a season to remember for Belhus Racing when he landed the Reliable Asset Maintenance Hcp (1400m) at Ascot on Saturday and it was also a timely reminder his Gingerbread Man full-brother is catalogued for the Perth Magic Millions Sale next week.

Belhus Racing’s Peter and Karen Morley and members of their Hemlock Syndicate have been walking on air since winning the $1 million Perth Cup (2400m) with Hemlock Stone (NZ) on New Year’s Day.

It was a career-high victory in a season that has also seen them lead in winners like Deel Her In (Dundeel), Desert Whisper (Rommel), En Plein Air (Universal Ruler), Ishkur (Bull Point) and Zaza Rock (Awesome Rock).

Fluro Neuro is trained by Grant & Alana Williams and had been unlucky last time out when stewards reported he was eased off heels and had difficulty obtaining clear running in the race won by stablemate Hostile Talk (War Chant).

Clint Johnston-Porter had been aboard for his previous win at Belmont in June and he was back in the irons and keen to stay in the running line with cover on Saturday.  “It’s best to let him do his own thing,” CJP said.  “Wrestle him he will wrestle you back.  I had a lot of horse and it was all over once we got to the outside.”

Fluro Neuro has now banked $280,000 on the back of a $75,000 price-tag from Yarradale Stud at the 2021 Perth Magic Millions Sale.  His older brother Neurological had been cut down in his prime after winning on the 2019 LR Farnley Stakes (1200m) at Belmont.

Their dam First Game (Soldier's Tale) was bred by Yarradale in partnership with Swettenham Stud’s Adam Sangster and her latest Gingerbread Man colt looks the part as Lot 218 ahead of the Swan Valley Sale.

“The colt is a racy type and he’s been very popular during our inspections at the farm,” Stud Manager Davy Hanratty said on Monday.  “It’s an even draft and there’s a horse for every budget.”

Hanratty has also run the rule over some of the other Yarradale entrants among the 16 lots going under the hammer on Days 1 and 2.

24  Filly   So You Think - Dainty Tess (War Chant)
The dam won 14 races including three at Group 3 level.  She was a tough, top-class mare and her filly might be mistaken for a colt with a backside that could kick-start a combine harvester!

103  Colt   Playing God - Pasadena Girl (Savabeel)
He's a handsome Playing God colt with a lovely swinging walk.  His older half-sister Ron’s Finalflutter can upgrade the pedigree just after the Magic Millions Sale in the LR Challenge Stakes.

141  Colt   Playing God - Super Stardom (War Chant)
The sire needs no introduction and he looks readymade just like his dam who was an Ascot 2yo winner.  He’s a lovely-natured colt and comes from one of our most successful families.

174  Filly   Playing God - Amalfi Lass (War Chant)
She’s attractive with plenty of scope and gives the impression she could develop in an Oaks filly.  Her dam won over a mile as a spring 3yo in Yarradale’s colours and there’s residual value with black-type right down the page.

204  Filly   Playing God - Diamonds'n'Dreams (Viscount)
She’s a short-coupled, sharp filly who will go early.  She’s a half-sister to four winners and the second-dam was a Group 2 winner in New Zealand.

246  Filly   Splintex - Lady Valorem (Ad Velorem)
A beautiful August chestnut filly and is a forward type with a willingness to please.  Her older half-brother Red Fifty Three is a black-type horse and we can see her making that grade, too.

304  Colt   Gingerbread Man - Streak Away (O'Reilly)
A precocious, attractive colt who will have his share of admirers.  We sold his older half-sister Dashing Erika to Adam Durrant and she won a Bunbury maiden at her second start last week.

The Yarradale yearlings will be stabled in Barns D and E and will be available for inspections for prospective buyers as from this Friday.
