As if on cue, the Yarradale Stud bandwagon rolled into the Swan Valley sales complex on the back of another winning run leading into the Perth Magic Millions.

The Yarradale consignment has been prepped to the minute by manager Davy Hanratty and the team at Gidgegannup with 16 yearlings under offer during two sessions of buoyant trade expected on Thursday and Friday.

Yarradale stallion Gingerbread Man (Shamardal) kicked off this month with homebred graduates Come On Emma and Fluro Neuro doubling up at Ascot and that’s been augmented by more winners in the last week.

Gingerquest (Gingerbread Man) made it a treble in six days for his sire when flying home from last on the corner in the Mt Barker Fire & Rescue Maiden (1300m).  Still in his first prep, the Roy Rogers-trained 3yo missed the kick but had the field covered when let loose in the straight by Austin Galati.

He was bred by Yarradale in partnership with Tony Patrizi (Greenfields Lodge) and has already paid back a $25,000 price-tag from the 2023 Perth Magic Millions.  Gingerquest is the second winner out of Witchy Ways (Beneteau) and the mare has a yearling filly by Gingerbread Man and a filly foal by Aysar.

Tawkin’ Jibberish (Ducimus) was another bargain from Yarradale (as agent) when an all-the-way winner of the Quayclean Hcp (1000m) at Ascot last Wednesday.

Purchased for just $8,000 at the 2022 Perth Magic Millions, she is raced by trainer Luke Fernie with part-owners Kim Doak and Maria Manfredini.

Tawkin' Jibberish (Photo / Western Racepix) is one of four winners from Zedriffic (Zedrich) and was offered on behalf of Korilya Stud’s Ellie Giles.  She also bred Silent Sedition who was the first Australian Group 1 winner by former Yarradale stallion War Chant (USA) in the 2017 William Reid Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley.

“She’s been tricky to place but controlled the top-end pressure for Chris (Parnham),” Fernie said.  “We took the blinkers off after her last prep and added a lugging bit today.  She wandered about in the straight but was just too strong for them.”

Dashing Erika (Smart Missile) went back-to-back at Bunbury in the William Barrett Hcp (1675m) on Sunday.  She was bred and sold by Yarradale for $100,000 to trainer-manager Adam Durrant at 2022 Perth Magic Millions.

“Just three starts into her career and she paired up once again with Lucy Fiore to make it two on the bounce,” Durrant said.  “She took up the role of pacemaker and is proving to be quite versatile.

“Dashing Erika is green but she is good,” the 11-time premier Perth trainer declared following her Bunbury maiden a fortnight ago.  He races her with a syndicate that includes Yarradale owner Lyn Sayers, Balmoral Park's Neil Irvine, former jockey Peter Wildermoth and former TBWA secretary Veronica Jackson-Smith.

Yarradale has catalogued her Gingerbread Man - Streak Away (NZ) half-brother as Lot 304 at the Perth Magic Millions on Friday.

There are more Yarradale winners waiting in the wings like unraced pair Cawarra (Playing God) and You Can Call Me Al (Gingerbread Man) who were successful in Belmont barrier trials on Monday.

Cawarra was a $130,000 graduate of the 2024 Perth Magic Millions and she has a Gingerbread Man half-brother catalogued by Yarradale as Lot 243 on Friday.  Their dam Lado Ciego (Written Tycoon) is an unraced daughter of G3 Gimcrack Stakes (1000m) winner Chantski (War Chant).

You Can Call Me Al is the final foal of Ningaloo Blitz (Natural Blitz) who won three races in town as a well as the 2015 Albany Cup (2100m) for Dan Morton plus the 2016 Mt Barker Cup (2000m) for Darryn Pateman.

Yarradale Stud yearlings are stabled in Barns D and E and first to parade on Thursday morning is the Playing God filly from Copper Queen (Lot 20).  She has significant residual value hailing from a Group 1 family of French classic winners bred by the HH the Aga Khan.
